Day Care Pathways
You request day care through the Health & Social Care Partnership. They assess your needs and, if eligible, directly fund and arrange the day care needs.
HSCP Funded Day Care

Speak to your HSCP care manager and tell them you’re interested in day care.
> if you do not have a care manager contact HSCP Advice First. -
They will assess your needs and eligibility.

Referrals can also come from: Hospital Discharge Staff, GPs, District Nurses, Home Support, Occupational Therapy, Older People’s Mental Health, or the Centre for Independent Living.

You are assessed by HSCP, then choose how your support is arranged and who provides it. You have more control over how the funding is used compared to HSCP Funded, but more responsibility.

SDS is arranged through HSCP after an assessment.

HSCP Self Directed Support
You or your family pay privately for all or part of the service and arrange it directly with Muirshiel Centre.

Self-Fund
Taster Days
We understand that starting day care can feel overwhelming. To make the transition smoother, we offer a home visit before you begin, where you’ll meet your key worker - your main point of contact for you and your family. We can also arrange taster days or short visits to the centre so you and your family can get comfortable before attending regularly.
